Team Malawi Half Term Challenge

Team Malawi Trustees and their children formed a team spanning 77 years and set out to collectively walk the length of Lake Malawi during half term. An almost IMPOSSIBLE challenge of 580kilometres! How did they get on? They walked through deep snow to start with which then turned to heavy rain but were so inspired by the many donations to their fundraising page that they cracked it in just five days!

Not happy to sit relax once at the top of the lake they decided to turn back to try and reach the original start line by the end of the week. They wanted to do more to help the children of Malawi.

The last day saw a record 220.84km covered and a total of 1184km, an extraordinary effort from all members of the team but especially the under 7s! A sum of over £2000 was raised for Team Malawi to spend on vital classroom resources.
