School Resources Appeal

In the last two years we have delivered amongst other items more than 18,000 text books, 3200 ball-point pens and 550 boxes of chalk. The prices for stationery, which is almost all imported, have doubled in two years.

The focus this year is on the huge demand for textbooks. Each of our Primary schools requested around 400 books as their top priority. But there are nine subjects and eight year-groups to satisfy.

Some schools have very few usable textbooks or the Teachers' Guides that go with them. In others, a set of ten books is regarded as pretty useful for a class of 80. Please help us to achieve a more generous sharing of knowledge.

We supply covering material to extend the life of the books and are seeking local carpenters to make more bookcases.
