Chairman distributes flood relief items

The fifth distribution of aid to village communities happily coincided with Team Malawi's Chairman, Richard Barton's visit to the Diocese of Southern Malawi. People washed out if their homes in March had been living in school classrooms.One hundred of the most vulnerable families had been chosen to receive food: maize flour, cooking oil, sugar, salt, beans, dried fish and bars of soap. Richard was able to hand some gifts over personally. He learnt that in three months they had received no aid from the government or any other agency. The arrival of the diocesan lorry was regarded as a miracle.
