CLASSROOMS AND LATRINES FOR NKUNGUNI SCHOOL FINISHED

The road up to this remote village in northern Malawi is impassable during the four months of the rainy season and Jonathan Ng’oma, the Acting Diocesan Project Officer, worked extremely hard to get all the remaining materials to the site in time.The buildings were finished and the children enjoyed them but for only a few months before the Covid-19 virus closed all schools in March.At last a phased re-opening is beginning and the school will no longer have to close on the many days that bad weather made teaching impossible in the old grass-walled and thatched classrooms.Before and after photos:
